Warley Male Choir Tour 1st - 3rd of June
Warley Male Choir will be appearing at Goodrington Methodist Church, Torquay Central Methodist Church and Seaton Methodist Church on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June.
Warley Male Choir was formed in 1943 in the West Midlands borough of Smethwick which is approximately five miles from the city centre of Birmingham.
The choir have competed in many contests and festivals including Sainsburys Choir of the Year in which they came 16th out of 350. They have also competed at the International Eisteddfod..
They have performed in Belgium, France, Germany, Holland and have toured extensively around the UK from Cornwall to North Yorkshire successfully raising money for the RNLI.
In addition to their regular commitments the choir is a member of the English Association of Male Voice Choirs (EAMVC). In 2006 the choir were given the responsibility of organizing the Annual Gala concert in the Great Hall at Birmingham University which raised over £3,000 for charity.
Now led by a young team of enthusiastic musicians, under the direction of Stephen J. Allen, the choir has introduced a more dynamic and modern approach to its music. We have welcomed several new members recently and look forward to an exciting future.
